Jackson Miller’s biggest fear is being washed up. Where I Belong is a full-length sweet and steamy MM gay romance novel and the second book in the Carhart Brothers series. It can be read as a standalone, has no cliffhanger and a very satisfying happily ever after.

This is such a good book. Once more, start to finish, the author grabbed my attention and kept it. I was once again put in the mind space of the characters, and their thoughts and feelings are easily felt and understood. The author has a soft touch with giving those insights without overdoing it and dragging us down with pathos.Chase has always looked up to Jackson, and that doesn't change after he meets him. It does, however, change from being starstruck to a genuine and heartfelt love for someone he respects and desires.
Jackson finally understands that Chase isn't looking to overshadow him or use him for his own ends and that is when he allows his burgeoning feelings for Chase to grow.
The ins and outs and ups and downs of celebrity life are explained to the point that we can understand what they are experiencing without making it boring.
Their relationship, once started, moves at a steady pace with a real friendship and hot sex. There is a hitch when an ex-boyfriend threatens their relationship, but their HEA is satisfying and touching.

WOW!! Such a beautiful story... Full of love, hot SEX and emotion...everything that we all love. Parker has done an amazing job writing this second book of the series as we continue in the lives of the Carhart Brothers. Chase is the middle brother who is chasing his country music dream. They want him to go out on tour now that his record has hit #1. He finds out that Jackson Miller, a country music star, will be his opening act. Chase has always had a crush on Jackson. But when they meet Jackson comes off as a real ass. Chase is a man unlike most, kind and genuine and Jackson begins to see that. The two form a friendship and so much more, but Jackson's ex threatens to expose them, threatening their careers. Jackson won't let that happen to Chase so he breaks it off to protect him. Devastated, Chase completely withdraws from Jackson until Chase's brother intervenes talking to Jackson... Will their love for each other demand a solution that will save them both? Chase Carhart just hit #1 on the country music charts. His manager Benji who is also his brother, tells him he's going on tour and that Jackson Miller is going to be his opening act. Chase couldn't believe it. He has idolized Jackson for more then 10 years.
Jackson Miller had been a #1 country music artist for many years, but the past few years his career has taken a turn for the worse. When he finds out he is an opening act for a new young #1 hit country artist he realized he may really be “washed up” just like his ex Kevin had told him. With no other way to keep his career going he accepts the contract not at all happy to be opening for Chase Carhart.
When they first met Chase wants more than anything to be friends with Jackson.

Chase helps Jackson with a song that he has been trying to write for sometime and that's when their friendship begins and shortly afterwards a secret “friends with benefits” starts.
The two hit an obstacle that tears them apart, ripping my heart in two at seeing how Chase handles the separation.
Benji nodded. “That sounds like my brother. He’s just hurt. And he reacts to that by shutting down. If someone hurts him, he just cuts them out of his life and keeps it moving.”
Deciding it was time to be himself, Chase comes out as gay to his fans.

I got teary-eyed from the “PLAN” Chase comes up with, and it made for a really sweet and courageous scene. This was probably the part that I fell in love with the story.
This was a beautiful story. I'm glad that Chase and Jackson were already gay. Both men wanted to fulfill their dreams as country artists and to find love. Another sweet romance done right by Mr. Elliot. I enjoyed this one just a little bit more then the first book in this series and will be recommending. Oh, and there's a nice little HEA for Riley and Hollis!!!

Great book, loved the characters
What I want to say would spoil the book for other readers. So, I will just say, these two make beautiful music together! Read the book and find out what I mean!
I read book 1 in this series and I loved it but book 2 had me from the first two chapters Fun storyline but have plenty of tissues Thank You I am off to read book 3
This M/M romance is just what I wanted - well written, not too "real," and an interesting path to Happily Ever After.
Chase is a new country singer on his first tour. He's always been a Jackson Riley fan. Jackson has been drifting since his last record. He's offered a last chance by his label to front for a newcomer for his first tour. If things go well, Jackson might have a career left.
Things get off to a rocky start, but Chase's unsullied cheerful attitude brings grumpy Jackson around. As the two get to know each other, they become interested in more than friendship.
During a tour across the country, the men get closer, then problems crop up. They decide to risk their careers together and end the last concert with their new song and openly announce their love.
This is a really sweet romance, with just enough hot sex scenes.
I'd probably rate it 4.5 of 5.
